Home maintenance

I’ve lived in my house for the last four years. It’s truly amazing how things can really get out of hand without active maintenance. The other day I was walking through my house and noticed so many things that needed fixing. My shelves were crooked, door knobs were loose, there were leaking taps, and multiple scuffs on the wall that could do with a coat of paint. I initially tried to ignore these details, but then I realised that the longer I ignored it, the worse it would probably get.

I knew I needed to find a hardware store near me. Cheltenham has multiple hardware stores. I guess that’s what happens when you live near multiple business parks. There’s always going to be a hardware store on every corner. After driving around for five minutes, I found a hardware store that had a big car park. I thought this would be helpful if I was buying many items. I’d hate to load up a trolley then have to wheel it across multiple blocks just to get to my car.

As soon as I walked into the store, I knew I was able to find everything that I needed. Every aisle was clearly labelled, and there were multiple friendly employees on hand if I needed any assistance. It was impressive how well-organised everything was. I quickly found everything I needed.

I also decided to browse around the store to see if there was anything else I could use. I found some beautiful hardwood flooring that I thought would look great in my living room. The employee saw me admiring it and offered to answer any questions I had. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the differences between the different types of wood. I can see why this store was renowned as the best Cheltenham timber supplier.

Next thing I knew my trolley was loaded up with an array of tools and supplies. There was no excuse for me to have a home in poor condition ever again! I’m actually looking forward to doing a bit of home maintenance now.
